Larry P.

Anderson

September 3, 2021

Larry Anderson was born on January 19, 1945 to Marion and Gertrude Anderson of Holly, CO. He met the love of his life, Barbara Anderson, while attending Kansas State University. They were happily married for 50 years. Larry was a lifelong dry wheat farmer in southeastern Colorado.

Larry was not only a dedicated and caring husband, but a loving and supporting father to his two daughters and their families. His family sadly lost their husband, father and grandfather on September 3, 2021. He will be sorely missed by his wife, Barbara Anderson; his two daughters, Debbie Pieper (Randy) and Shelly Anderson (Andy); and his four grandchildren, Zayna Lynch (Brendan), Maija Pieper, Brennan Pieper, and Kytelyn Pieper.

Larry dedicated his free time to service organizations and their causes. He was proud to be a Master Mason earning his 50 year pin. He was very dedicated to the mission of the Shriners and their children's hospitals. He was also a member of Lions International for 45 years, where he served not only his local club but also the Lions of Colorado. His favorite past time was making and trading Lions Club pins with his many friends from around the world.

The family will hold a private service. Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Larry to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or the Colorado Lions Eye Bank. Checks should be made out to the desired organization and mailed to Farmers State Bank, c/o Shelly Anderson, PO Box 9, Calhan CO 80808.
