Larry Woodrow Barker of Colorado Springs passed away unexpectedly at the age of 81 on Thursday, November 30, 2023.
Larry was born September 7, 1942, in Charleston, WV, to Glada Ellen Tolley Barker and the late Hobert Woodrow Barker. Larry is survived by his wife, Elaine Barker, his children Terri Lynn Barker and Christina Dawn Daniel, his sisters Rhonda Cox of Gassaway, WV, and Sherry Johnston of Winston Salem, NC. Larry is also survived by five grandchildren Chelsea Burgess, Kyra Phairchyld, David Stielow, Makenzie Fry, and Justin Fry, seven great grandchildren, and a great many in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Larry, a Vietnam Veteran, served 21 years in the Air Force. He had many friends, and a great love of family, country, and bowling. He was inducted into both the Colorado Springs Bowling Hall of Fame and Colorado State Bowling Hall of Fame.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
