Larry Martinez Obituary

Larry Edward Martinez, age 81, died of a broken heart and went to be with his beloved wife Doris on February 10th 2017.

Larry was born January 18th 1936 in Fountain, Colorado to Sequel Martinez and Isabel Duran. He married the love of his life Doris (Bartels) in 1960 in Colorado Springs. He was a former resident of Fountain and resided in Pueblo at the time of his death.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Jimmy, Lloyd, Johnny, and sister Margie Velasquez. He is survived by his children: Larry (Rashelle), Rosemary (Larry), Tom (Chris), Loretta (Carlos), 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, God daughter Wendy Rash, his beloved dog Autumn and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a devoted husband and carpenter, pig farmer and collector of discarded items. Larry was an avid Elk hunter in his younger years. He loved RVing and camping with his family. He will be deeply missed by his family.

Services will be held Friday, February 17th at St. Dominic's church US highway 85/87.

Rosary 9:30 a.m. Funeral 10:00 a.m.
