Larry Miller was a retired produce department employee from King Soopers, and retired Greyline bus driver, who passed away peacefully at the age of 76, on October 16, 2024.Larry was a familiar face at local diners, particularly Sheldon's and Wade's, where he enjoyed sharing breakfast with friends and family. A lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, Larry was known for his warm smile and friendly demeanor, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew him.
Larry's family homesteaded out in eastern El Paso County during the late 1890s. Born second of four brothers, Larry cherished his family and took great pride in being a devoted father to his son, Brian Miller. He often spoke fondly of his childhood adventures and the close bond he shared with his three brothers and his best friend, Ron Yeargans and his family.
He leaves behind his son, Brian Miller, (Reno, Nevada), a grandson Max Miller (New Mexico), brother Gary Miller (Judy) of Colorado Springs, brother Lynn Miller, of Pueblo West, a nephew Will Miller (Crystelle) of Colorado Springs, a grand nephew Preston Miller and close family friend, Kathy Yeargan. He was preceded in death by his parents John & Adeline Miller and his brother Ronald Miller.
There will be a viewing on November 5 from 11AM -1PM at Springs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation in his honor.
Rest in peace, Larry. You have driven your last bus, but your memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew you.
