Larry Suggs Obituary

From the arms of our loving family to the arms of our loving Lord, died a wonderful and loving man. Larry left this world as a Son, Brother, Husband, Dad and Grandpa. He died unexpectedly on April 8, 2006 in Colorado Springs at 67 years old. Born in Indianapolis, IN on January 19, 1939, he was the son of E.V. and Celia Suggs. Larry married his high school sweetheart, Sandra "Sharee" Henderson, also from Indianapolis, IN, June 21, 1959 after attending GMI University with a BS in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. For over 46 years he was lovingly committed to his wife, and children. Larry is survived by his Mom: Celia Suggs (Northport, FL), Brother: John (Northport, FL) sons: Rick (San Jose, CA) and Mark (Denver, CO), daughter: April (San Jose, CA), grandson: Christopher (Tulsa, OK) and granddaughter: Ciara (Casper, WY). Larry's passion for antique trains and toys gained him many friends with the same interests as his. Everyone who knew Larry, personally, was immediately fascinated with his many interests and diverse abilities; there seemed to be no limit to his many talents. In his lifetime, he oversaw the construction of two manufacturing plants, one for Emerson Electric in Rogers, AR in 1964 and one in Oxford, MS in 1969. He will be sorely missed by all whose lives he touched. The Viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 12, between 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Swan Law Funeral Home, located at 501 N. Cascade. A Service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 1p.m. at Circle Dr. Baptist Church, located at 801 N. Circle. After the interment, at Memorial Gardens, a reception will be held at his home around 4:00 p.m.

We were very sorry to hear about Larrys passing. We had know him for over 20 years and had many dealings with him, he will be missed by all who knew him. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his wife and family. "Thanks and praise for all our days, neath the sun, neath the stars, neath the sky, as we go, this we know, God is nigh"

We are so sorry to hear of Larry's death. He was a great guy. We worked together for a long time at AMI and traded stories about old guns. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

I am sorry to here of Larry's passing. I am an old friend and co-worker from AMI. I seemed to run into Larry at garage sales and gun shows over the years, and always enjoyed a quick visit with him.
