LaVada Brown passed in the company of family on July 6, 2022. We were so blessed to have her as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Making joyful memories with family and friends was a highlight of LaVada's life. She was an active member of Pikes Peak United Methodist Church, was awarded the Quiet Disciple, and sang in the church choir. LaVada and Joe were members of the Gray Wolves Camping Club, and she enjoyed crafts and creating greeting cards with her stamping group.
LaVada is survived by her true love and husband of 65 years, Joe Brown; son Mitchell (Sandy) Brown; daughters Kimberly (Robert) Wetzel and Lori Sarena Brown; sisters Dixie Fields and Carolyn Gearhart; grandchildren Jessica (Randy), Aaron (Jacque), Brad, Waylon, and Robin; and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, and three sisters.
LaVada's many friends and family will miss her happy, upbeat nature, kindness to all, discipleship, and most of all, brilliant smile. Her passing leaves a hole in our hearts, and she will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 14, 2022 At Pikes Peak United Methodist Church followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
