LaVon Allen Obituary

Allen
LaVon "Bonnie" Corine
(Archambeau) Allen
March 25, 1940
October 17, 2022

Bonnie Allen, age 82, a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on October 17, 2022 after an extended illness.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was born on March 25, 1940, in Durango, Colorado to Corinne and Lawrence Archambeau.
She graduated from Durango High School and attended Fort Lewis College. She married Richard Allen and had one son; Ronald Allen. She was the grandmother to Ashlee, Jessica, and Adam.
Bonnie was a gifted musician on both the piano and string bass. She played the piano for numerous special events and was highly sought after by many student musicians for accompaniment in judged instrument rehearsals. Bonnie was a dedicated military wife for over thirty-one years and belonged to several wives' clubs, both as an officer, and as a supporting member.
Being the consummate volunteer, she was always heavily involved in community activities both in the United States and abroad. Bonnie was an avid tennis player, and she was very fond of all her fellow team members. Bonnie never had a harsh word to say to anyone, and will always be remembered as a dear, kindhearted person deserving of God's blessings. We will always remember her as a wonderful, unselfish, and caring person.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Richard Allen; and her son, Ronald Allen.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Corinne Archambeau.

Heaven is surely blessed to be serenaded by your beautiful piano music! I´m sure your brother is singing by your side.
Fond memories of waking up one Christmas morning to you playing the piano. Keep your brother, my husband Larry, in line.
I love and miss you both.
