LaVonne Marie Jones Obituary
She was born in Oshkosh, Nebraska to Ira and Daisy Paisley on June 22, 1926, the oldest of five children.
She is survived by two children, Gretchen (Dwayne) Simmons of Fountain, CO and Rebecca Samiof of Colorado Springs, CO, two granddaughters, Rachel (Steven) Ruby and Stacy (Michael) Bishop and two great grandchildren, Danica and Bryson Ruby.
She graduated from Garden County High School and later worked as a nurse in the Lewellen, Nebraska hospital. Later she moved to Colorado Springs and worked at Shepherd's Citation. She met Duffield Jones and they were married on Dec. 31, 1946.
In 1953, she was baptised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. On Jan. 1, 1965 she enrolled as a full-time minister and enjoyed teaching what she had learned from the Bible to others.
She had many spiritual children and grandchildren. She enjoyed teasing people and being teased. She was a hard worker who also enjoyed cooking, shopping, and dressing well.
She will be missed by her family and many friends.

Lavonne was one of a kind. I remember Duff telling me what a remarkable wife she was. She was a wonderful spiritual example and no one could match her poker face when she was pulling your leg or her rhubarb pies. We will all miss her until Jehovah calls and she answers.

Even though I only knew her for a short time, I am very glad to have her life touch mine. You will be missed Lavonne.

I will never forget the kindness sister Lavonne showed to my mother Josephine Archuleta she and her daughter and many of the sisters would come on a regular bases to visit my Mom. My Mom new Lavonne for many years. I know she will be missed by many. so sorry for your loss. We will see her soon in the paradise.
