When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. So treasure that memory, may your memories give you peace and comfort. That person become someone so special they never can be forgotten my heart goes out to you during this difficult time. I am deeply sorry and it is upsetting to see the painful effects of death, ESPECIALLY SOMEONE SO loved Psalm 36:9 with God is the source of life. Words fall short of expressing my sorrow for your loss. You and your family are surrounded by love during this difficult time.

In the '60s Reds radio called Lee "The Big Slam From Birmingham." In 1969 my history teacher, Mr. Foster, said his father was prejudiced, but Lee May could have stayed at his home anytime he wanted. Lee was a special part of my youth and I'll always remember and appreciate him for that. My thoughts, prayers and condolences to the family.

I'm so sorry I never got to meet Lee and tell him how I cried when the Reds traded him to Houston. He was my childhood hero and I always thought I would meet him someday and thank him for his contributions and there's a lesson in that I didn't. Never heard a bad word about him. I send my condolences to the family. May he rest in peace.

My condolences to Terrye and the family. Me (Thunderbolt), Pistol Pete and Big Daddy would come to Bopper's New Years Eve party and have so much fun and have fun during the week going out to the golf course and just sitting around talking. I remember his love for cb-radio. His friendship will be missed-

To the May family,
Wishing you God's comfort and blessing at this difficult time.
Lee May was a great and very exciting hitter and player. I'm so glad he spent some of his career with us in Baltimore. He was one of my favorite players and I was so lucky to be able to meet him and talk with him.
Lee May- a fine man and a great baseball player. You are loved in Baltimore and are in the Orioles Hall of Fame. Thank you for all the great memories.

When I was a little boy my dad took me to Crosley Field to see the Reds play. It was my first major league game. During the game Lee and Tony Perez hit back to back home runs. That is etched in my mind as if it happened yesterday. This is one of my earliest memories of my beloved Big Red Machine and Lee was an important part of that. May family, thank you for sharing your precious loved one with the rest of us. I am praying for you.

As an early version of the big red machine of the pennant winning 1970 Reds, Lee was the middle of the line up muscle. His trade to Houston in 1971 solidified the dynasty that would formally be known as the big red machine, when Lee was traded for Joe Morgan, ceaser geranimo, Jack billingham, and Denis menke. He had a great career worthy of hall of fame consideration. My condolences the the May family, Lee was an outstanding ballplayer.

Great power hitter, great character, from a great baseball family. Reggie Jackson once had some comments to Lee in regard to hitting approach. Lee's confident response? "Where I go, the grass don't grow!" A true "Baseball Man," who had distinguished careers as a player and coach.
Rest in Peace, Mr. May, and thank you for your wonderful presence and all of the memorable moments/contributions on the diamond.
