Lee Ramos Obituary

Lee "Lino" Ramos was born on March 25, 1941. Lee was a Colorado resident for all his life. Born in Rocky Ford, he eventually landed in Colorado Springs. He was married to Ella Mae Ramos for 55 years and had a total of four children: Kathy Aguilar, Bobby Ramos, Pam Romero (Mike), Ken Ramos (Sam), and many grandchildren Brian Aguilar, Oriana Broderick (Jason), Robert Ramos, Cody Romero, Gavin Ramos, Seth Ramos, and Mattie Ramos, and survived by three great grandchildren. Lee left two sisters Ramona Ornelas and Nellie Benavidez with numerous nieces and nephews.

Lee worked for the City of Colorado Springs for over 20 years. After retirement, he started Lee's Janitorial, which has been in the Colorado Springs area for over 35 years and still going strong.

Lee loved music, classic westerns on TV, and he also loved his Denver Broncos. Though Lee was from Colorado, his favorite College Team was the "Fighting Irish of Notre Dame". He also enjoyed the New York Yankees. Lee enjoyed BBQs on the family patio and camping in San Isabel.

Lee loved his family dearly. By working day and night, he ensured everyone was taken care of and provided for.

A Celebration of Life will be at The Friendship Assembly of God at 3685 New Center Point on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 6:00 PM.

Lee so many wonderful memories; a laugh that will echo forever; a lesson in life never to be forgotten. I am honored to have known you and to have spent so many early mornings in your company. I will always remember a kind man and a gentle man that taught me so much about family. Our Lord is proud to have you enter his Kingdom, you my friend will be missed, never forgotten and always admired. Till we meet again, rest easy, laugh often and let your kindred spirit comfort those in the pains of your absence. MIKE

Pompo you will be missed and your memories will forever have a huge impact in my life. The love and care you showed us was more than enough. Even though your presence will be missed, I am thankful for the time God gave us with you here on earth. I love you Pompo.

I am very glad I got to get to know him.. he will be very missed!! Sad to see him go, but know that he is in a much better place with no more pain.

My Pompo was my everything, he taught me what it was to be a man and to take care of a family! He would sit down with me telling me all his stories that he could remember that I still cherish to this day! In your final words to me before I left was, "I might not be here when you come back." I'm sorry I was away during your final breath that you took on earth. I wanted to tell you I love you and the man I am today was and will forever be because of you! Love Your Grandson Gavin!

I am proud to have spent thirteen years with my father inlaw. I will miss him very much. He is the example we all need to follow. He Loved the Lord with all his heart. Always kept his family and the needs of others first and never complained. I am going to miss the conversations and when you would make me laugh. I am going to miss you dad. You will not be forgotten. Love you.........

Timothy 5:8 "But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."

And my Papo did, he provided for his family day and night. I can't remember a summer growing up where he wasn't up at the crack of dawn in the garage fixing something, music blaring, telling the neighborhood "good morning". My grandpa could talk to anyone, he took me to school and picked me up, he made amazing quesadillas, he took us to McDonald's whenever we asked and he loved my Nana so much. To the man of great strength and courage, hardworking and faithful, I will miss you so much. Coming home will never be the same. It's weird trying to sleep and not hear John Wayne. See you in heaven Papo!

Tio Leno is going to be greatly missed. He was a real trooper, no matter what he was going thru or how much pain he was in, he never complained and always had a smile, a hug for everyone. As kids he gave us our first job cleaning offices with him. Everytime I would see him, he wanted to talk about all the good places to eat in Albuquerque. I sure am gonna miss him
