Leland Sherman Obituary

Leland H. Sherman (Lee) age 89, passed into the hands of the Lord, Thursday, August 14, 2014.

Lee lived a fulfilled life. He was born to Icle and E.O. Sherman in the small town of Anton, CO. His early years were spent on a small cattle ranch near Table Rock Colorado. In the early 1930's The family relocated to the Reverse "J" Diamond cattle ranch in northern Colorado Springs and the Black Forest area.

After graduation from Monument High School Lee joined the Army for the duration of WWII. After returning home Lee began work as a legal reference book printer at Shepards/McGraw-Hill Inc. He retired in 1990 after 44 years of dedicated service.

Lee is survived by his wife Shirley; sons, Ron (Kathy), Daniel (Debbie) and Greg Titus, and grandchildren; Chris, Jacque, Cassi, Kelly, Elizabeth, Tadd; and many great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, E.O. and Icle Sherman, daughter Donna Sherman and Ramona Titus.

Lee loved fishing, camping and being an Arizona snowbird with Shirley. He also enjoyed spending time hunting with his buddies Russ Madden and Carroll Hansen.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 19, at the Heritage Baptist Church 4808 Palmer Park Blvd. at 10:00 am.
