Lenora Farley Obituary

Lenora Farley was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1933. After graduating High School Lenora served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. It was during her time in the Air Force that Lenora met her future husband, Don Farley, who also serving in the Air Force. The two were married in March 1954, and Don's future career with Exxon took them to numerous overseas locations in the Middle East, South America, and Asia. It was during these travels with her family that Lenora got to pick up on local cuisine and learn to cook international dishes. Anyone who knew Lenora knows that the topic of food was sure to enter the conversation.

After Don retired from Exxon in 1985, he and Lenora split their time between Glen, New Hampshire, and Venice, Florida. Eight years after Don's passing Lenora moved to Colorado Springs in order to be closer to family.

Lenora was an avid live theater and movie enthusiast. She worked on many local theater productions both as an actress and a production director. Most recently she was involved in the Pillar Readers theater in Colorado Springs. She also loved quilting, painting and reading.

She is survived by two sons, Scott (Vickie) and Paul (Joyce) Farley; and two daughters, Kim (A.J.) Pegnam and Barbra (Dan) Mellecker; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
