Leo Jolivet Obituary

Leo "Lee" Jolivet, age 80, passed away on April 14, 2007. He was retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant, and was in the property management business for 20 years. Lee was born in Fall River, MA, and was 1 of 6 children. Lee entered the infantry at age 17, served in the Pacific Theater in WW II and later in Korea. His last assignment was at NORAD in Aerospace Defense. Lee was also a Master Baker, trained at the Wilton School in Chicago and his creative cakes were always appreciated. Lee was married to Laura Jolivet for 49 years, who preceded him in death in 2001. They had one son, Peter. His grandson, Matt, was his golfing buddy, fishing partner, and his best friend. His daughter-in-law, also named Lee, was the daughter he never had. Lee loved to golf and especially enjoyed his rounds with Jack, Joe and Brian. His generous nature and infectious laugh will be missed by his family and friends. Lee is survived by his spouse of four years, Sharon, and her children, Kevin, Kim and Kristen, as well as three grandchildren, Melissa, Shannon and Ryan. Lee and Sharon met while participating in a grief support class following the loss of both of their spouses. They enjoyed 4 years of fun, travel, and companionship. The viewing will be held Thursday, April 19, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shrine of Remembrance. The memorial service will be held at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses on Friday, April 20, at 10:00 a.m. Donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or to The American Heart Association.
