Leoma Orcutt left this earth to meet her beloved husband, Daniel, at Heaven's Gate early morning on Sunday, August 25th. She was a proud Colorado Springs native born to Edgar and Bessie Sears. Lee is a 1953 graduate from Colorado Springs High School (Palmer). After graduation she worked as a commercial artist at Alexander Film Company, and was an active participant in community events. In December 1955 she married Daniel R. Orcutt and became a submariner's wife.
She was an avid artist of sewing, crocheting, knitting, and wonderful oil paintings that will remain a legacy to her family.
Lee worked for Sears and Roebuck for many years and later became a school bus driver/trainer for District 20, retiring after 20 years. She and Dan then enjoyed some adventurous traveling. Lee is survived by her four children, Kevin, Steven (Becky), Pamela, Timothy (Patsy), fifteen grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Remembrance service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 5th, at Palmer Lake Town Hall, 42 Valley Crescent Street, Palmer Lake, CO 80133.

Lee was a dear friend and co-worker. I have so many memories of her,I really loved her like a sister. I wish I could of said goodbye, all my prayers for the family you were lucky to have her with you so many years.

My sympathy and prayers go out to all the kids and grandchildren. I have fond memories of our families spending time together. Lee was always nice to me. God bless you all.
