Leonard Carlo Obituary

Leonard Lawrence Carlo, of Dacono, died Tuesday, October 11, 2005. He was 72 years old. He was born September 5, 1934 in Pueblo, Colorado to Leonard and Rose Carlo. He grew up and attended school in Pueblo. After high school, Leonard served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Carlo owned and operated several nightclubs in the Pueblo and Colorado Springs area. His favorite saying was "when your right your right; when your wrong, your wrong." He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Roxy and James Carleo; and sister, Josephine Snider. He is survived by his four children: Carla M. Franssen and her husband, Todd of Dacono; Leonard R. Carlo and his wife, Angie of Colorado Springs; Colleen Verhey and her husband, Ronald of Colorado Springs; and Roxann Carpenter and her husband, Ken of Colorado Springs; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his brother, Lou A. Carleo and his wife, Lorraine of Burbank, CA; and sister, Rosemarie Reid and her husband, Stu of Pueblo. Private Memorial Services to be held. There will be a visitation from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday at Howe Mortuary in Longmont. At Leonard's request it is asked that B.F. Geraldine Powell Lewis Repola not attend. In lieu of flowers or food, memorials are suggested to Mr. Carlo's Church, The Ancient River of God, P.O. Box 386, Dacono, CO 80514.

Our Deepest Sympathy to the Carlo's family.The Family of Fred Correia will never for get what Leonard and Gerri did for the Correia family at Leonards Bar after the funeral of my brother who was a friend of the Carlo's family.They showed up at my moms home to meet the family also. The family Of Fred Correia will always have highest respect for Leonard and his family. May you rest in peace. Maggie Correia ,mother of Fred and Noreen Fred's sister. He will be missed by many.

Leonard was a great man, and a good friend. He taught me everything I needed to know about the bar business and how to be successful in it. I worked for the Carlo's family for more then twenty years, and they were some of the best years of my life and I will allways be greatfull.
