Leonard Lawrence Obituary

Leonard Ray Lawrence of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on January 12, 2014 after a lengthy illness.

Leonard was born on January 4, 1933 in LeRoy, Kansas to Ernest and Marvel Lawrence.

Leonard spent 22 years in the United States Army, served two terms in Vietnam and retired as Chief Warrant Officer at Fort Carson in 1972. After retirement from the military, Leonard continued a professional civilian career with the Southland Corporation.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Heidi Lawrence of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son, James Lawrence of Aurora, Colorado; daughter-in-law, Brenda Lawrence of Aurora, Colorado; brother, Dale Lawrence of Newton, Kansas; and sister, Fern Prescott of Great Falls, Montana.

Leonard's pride and joy was his home and yard which he, along with his wife, Heidi, maintained for 43 years.

Leonard will be greatly missed by his family as well as his friends and neighbors through the years.

The family appreciates the care from the staff at Crystal Hill Homes and Sol Amor Hospice.

We will miss you, Leonard!
