On 24 September, 2021, the most loving husband, dad, brother, and friend went to be with his Lord. Leonard Dale Meesey of Colorado Springs passed peacefully at his home at 12:55 pm on 24 September after a long and fulfilling life - his son, Stephen, was at his side.



Dale was born on 13 January 1932 and married his wife of 61 years, Janet, on 18 December 1959. Dale and Jan have three children: David Meesey of Australia, Stephen Meesey of Texas, and Kathleen Meesey of Colorado. "Papa" was father-in law to Elizabeth Meesey, wife of Stephen, and grandfather to Gabriella Meesey, Spencer Meesey , Joshua Meesey, Danielle Meesey, and Nicholas Meesey – he was adored by them all.



Dale grew up in St. Louis with seven brothers and sisters. He is survived by his younger brother, Gerald Meesey of Colorado and his "baby" sister, Nancy Robinson of Kansas.



Dale was a Coast Guard and Air Force Veteran, having served as a right bubble gunner on a B-29 in the Korean War. He was a restaurateur with his brothers in St. Louis before becoming an FBI Agent, a career he loved for over 25 years. After retiring from the FBI, he owned his own investigative company for another 18 years.



The most important jobs pop did were being a husband, father, and grandfather and he did them well. His love for God and his family was always front and center. He taught Sunday school for over 55 years and he loved studying and teaching the word of God to his classes and his family. Pop finally has all the answers he ever asked about the stars, the universe, and God. He's happy.
