Many lives were enriched by Uncle Wayne. He was generous with his time and talents. He was a person of whom one would say "he'd do anything for you". My Mother was proud to call him brother. I remember his strength, his stories of growing up in Oklahoma, his pride in showing his skill in making jewelry. He loved fixing things ... he loved laughing, he loved making people laugh. He was, indeed, a special man with a great big tender heart. He will not be forgotten ... nor will the people who helped make his last time on earth full of happy times.

Years ago Wayne was our neighbor and was very kind to my wife Tracey, son Seth, (my friend - when he lived above us)and myself. Wayne was one of those special people who had so much wisdom to share. My dad bought the motor home (I still have) from Wayne in the early 80's.

I will miss Wayne's talent for making silver jewelry, all of his cool Indian stuff in his house and talking to him about his pond with the fish and fishing in general - he always decorated for the holidays and we still took our son Seth trick-or-treating at Wayne's house for several years, even after moving to Woodland Park. I only wish that I would have gotten to know him earlier in our lives. We will miss you Wayne. JP & Family

I worked at the Broadmoor for over 10 years and got to know Wayne very well. He made me several pieces of jewelry which I still wear today. He would always bring his jewelry stones in on a piece of masking tape for me to select and then work his magic. I too enjoyed his stories and his kindness. He will surely be missed.

My father Lonnie and Wayne were good friend's through out the years at the Hotel. Although both worked in different departments, they became close due to the similarities in interests, mainly fishing. As a child I too new Wayne and as years continued I enjoyed listening to his stories while accompanying my dad at the Pioneer Club Parties. On behalf of my family, I extend my deepest condolences.

We were sadden to read of Wayne's death. You know and we know that he is in a much better place; that has no suffering and no pain. Seems like our families are getting smaller and smaller. Remember we love you all.
