Leroy Bogan Obituary

You just happened to pop in my mind today thank you for everything you were an inspiration and truly missed

Sgt. Bogan was my JROTC instructor back in FFCHS. He was truly an inspiration and a role model for me and many others. I hope he realized what impact he truly had on so many of us. His words and actions still guide me through life from time to time even now at 33. I'll always remember you Sgt. Bogan, better not call him sir since he worked for a living.

Sergeant Bogan was my ROTC instructor in Fountain- Ft. Carson High School. I didn´t have any real male role models since my Pap died and Sergeant Bogan not only taught me about military life but what a real role model and good man looked like... every lesson he has taught me has stuck with me my whole life and I owe a big part of the man I am to Sergeant Bogan. He will be missed so much.

I have forgotten a lot in my sixty years of life but not my Sr. Drill Sergeant Leroy Bogan. I was 17 years old when I arrived at Fort Leonard Wood Alpha 4-4 and stepped out of the cattle car to meet what I thought was wild man! He was a great man and soldier. He made a huge impact on my life. God rest your soul.

May God continue to bless in your time of of sorrow Leroy Bogan was a true friend and leader. Ill never will forget him for what he has done for me in my life.

He was a wonderful teacher. He made a difference in my life. My condolences to his family.

I had the honor of serving with 1SG Bogan in Germany with the 23d EN BN. Great NCO who cared deeply for his men and the unit. Competitive in everything he did - you wanted him on your team in basketball. Condolences to the family.

I had the benefit of teaching next to Leroy for several years. He cared for students and wanted them to know that they could achieve at a high level. He will be missed.

This man was a blessing in so many lives, but especially mine. The most amazing mentor and teacher I've ever had, you had such an amazing influence in my life. You are going to be missed beyond any words, another angel has left this world to go home again. May you have eternal peace and I will see you again one day.
