Today, 4/10/17, I am saddened to hear of Lee's passing. Lee was one on the closest mentors I had in my 33 years in the Meat Industry. Always enjoyed our discussions, exchange of ideas, and that he took the time to care. Especially when my husband passed, and I became a widow at 38. Thank you Lee, for all the laughter, understanding, and knowledge you added to my life. Many great memories in our working together.

Lee was and is fondly remembered. Mr. Lochmann was kind enough to complement me in our first session together -- a complement that I hold above all others in my corporate career. After the session Lee asked me my age [27 at the time] and then remarked -- "I'd give anything to do what you are doing at your age". In the session he delayed his corporate jet by several hours. He smirked and told us the only reason he used the jets was to get to all of his executives, in person, anywhere in the world. December 1994.

Dear Agnes,

I extend my sincere and meaningful sympathies on Lee's passing. Because of some surgery, I am unable to personally pay my respects. Since I have known Lee and his family, I became aware of his business knowledge and good common sense. Most of all, I respected his view that you and his children were always first in his life.

Regards,

Rich Benko
