Leroy Schmidt Obituary

Leroy S. Schmidt, 68, passed away peacefully in his home after a long battle with cancer on April 29th.

He is survived by his loving wife Connie and their children Darcy, Carly and Son-in-law Josh, his mother Norma as well as his 11 brothers and sisters; Dusty, Delores, Bob, Janice, Dave, MaryAnn, Bill, Betty, Tom, Debbie, Walter and their families as well as his many friends .

He is predeceased by his father George. his sister Linda and his sister-in-law Judy.

Born in Silverton, Oregon, Leroy and his wife moved to Monument, Colorado in 1985 where he devoted 25 years of hard work as a McDonalds franchisee. He was a wonderful father who will be remembered for his generosity and as a person who truly lived life to the fullest. He was a hobby enthusiast who reveled in skiing, golfing, mountain biking, fly-fishing, traveling and had a passion for classic cars.

An informal celebration of life will be Saturday May 6th at noon at their family home. In liu of flowers, please make donations in his name to Rio Bravo Orphanage PO BOX 2512 Mission, TX 78573.
