Lester "Les" Eugene Tedrow, 94, passed away peacefully May 27, 2022 in North Canton, Ohio. He was born January 17, 1928 and raised in Pueblo, Colorado, retiring there in 1986 and recently moved to Ohio. Pre-deceased by his wife Martha (2008), he is survived by his children Janie Long of Broomfield, Colorado and Robert (Cindy) Tedrow of North Canton, Ohio as well as six grandchildren- Sean Long, Alec Long, Tory Tedrow, Timmy Tedrow, Tyler Tedrow, and Thomas (Bridget) Tedrow. The third oldest of six children of Lester and Jessie Tedrow, his younger sister Jessie Edwards and younger brother Chuck (Kathy) Tedrow survive. Les graduated from Central High School in Pueblo, joined the Navy just after World War II and using the GI Bill earned a bachelor degree in Chemistry from the University of Denver. He was employed for 32 years with Mobil Oil Corp, starting as a salesman and finishing as a general manager. As a caring and sharing individual, he joined the Masons and remained a member his entire adult life. As a member of Pueblo Lodge 17, he became a 33rd degree Mason and served as a Past Master. He served as Treasurer for the Southern Colorado Consistory. He is a Past Potentate of the Al Kaly Shrine in Colorado as well as serving 9 years on the Board of Governors at the Shriners Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. He served as past president of the Pueblo local Kiwanis. Early in life, he was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and camping. He was a strong adult volunteer leader with the Boy Scouts of America. Later in life, he enjoyed woodworking, coin collecting and traveling. He traveled the world including Russia and China. For years, he and his wife Martha took many cruises with their friends and family. Les and his wife were blessed to have a wonderful friend and caregiver, Valerie Vigil, during their time of need. Her being with the family over 30 years made the entire family so grateful. A Celebration of Life will be conducted later this year in Colorado.
