Linda Christopherson Obituary

Linda Mae Christopherson of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away peacefully in her home on April 29, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 9th at 11:00am at Swan Law Funeral Directors (501 N Cascade Ave, Colorado Springs, CO). A reception for friends and family will follow at 1:00pm at the Garden of the Gods Club (3320 Mesa Road, Colorado Springs, CO).

Linda was born in Red Wing, Minnesota October 29, 1948. Linda was preceded in death by her mother Joyce, her father Raymond, and her brother Dale Schmalstig. Linda is survived by her brother Dan Schmalstig, her two children Lisa and Justin Christopherson, her niece Raye Schmalstig, and nephew Joe Schmalstig.

Linda grew up a hard working woman being raised on a farm in Beldenville, Wisconsin. Linda went on to graduate with honors (Magna Cum Laude) from UCCS with a Bachelor of Science in Business in 1993. She then received her Master's of Science in Human Resources Management from Chapman University in 1994. She enjoyed an illustrious career as a Professional Human Resource consultant which took her all over the world working with many prominent companies. She also developed and taught an entire Business curriculum for aspiring princesses of Kingdom City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Linda was later honored by UCCS as an exemplary graduate in the field of Human Resources.

Strong values and morals were most important to Linda who lived her life putting her own needs aside in order to assure that those around her were secure and joyful. She was loved by everyone she encountered and will be missed dearly. May she rest in eternal peace forever smiling.

We were very sad to hear about Linda's passing. What an amazing woman! There are few people whom a person meets that when they walk away they say, "What an awesome lady!" That's what Linda made people say, I can vouch for that. Her presence will be missed but her memory and effect will live on and on.
