Dear Al, Recently I found out about Linda's death. It was by accident when I noticed a garage sale across the street. I asked Al where his lovely wife was. He said she had passed. I gave him my condolences and a hug. I knew she had a hearing problem. Wanting to meet Linda, I walked over to her house. It was a cold day in January, 2014. (Since I had just moved to Colorado in October,2013.) She answered the door and said "he's not home". I looked at her and said, "I came to meet you!" A huge smile came over her face. She politely let me in. I noticed the smell of her cooking, and noticed her beautiful little apron she had on. As I pointed to it, she seemed to know what I said. I stayed briefly knowing she had to get back to her cooking. She was so nice, and always smiling. I would wave at her when I'd see her outside or tending to her flowers. Linda, you were a very special lady and always wore a huge smile! Thanks to Al, I was able to buy a globe. I'm excited to someday give it to my daughter and her husband, who will pass it to their children. They will love it as much as I do! I will keep your picture and obituary in the globe book. Lastly, I want to use a quote from a Rogers & Hammerstein musical, "Carousel". "As long as there's one person on earth who remembers you, it isn't over." Linda, you will be in my daily prayer's. I miss not seeing you and your huge sincere smile. Your Neighbor and Friend, Mary B.

Linda and I were cousins. We had a week long vacation at each others houses when we were young. Linda being the city cousin while I was the country cousin. I enjoyed walking their dog around a block or two; riding a bike to go swimming or to the library and having 'dinner' as the evening mea.
l; Linda loved coming to the country and helping with our 4-H animals, milking the cows, and being a country gal.
Later on we reconnected and were able to visit with each other again. We met Al and he was instrumental in getting us back together. The four of us had many good visits back and forth to the city and country.
We are sorry for Linda's passing, but we did enjoy our many times together and all the good memories we made.
Thanks Al for being such a devoted husband and doing everything you could to take care of Linda's needs. You were definitely a blessing for Linda.
