Linda was a fiercely unique woman. She was sharp and informed and passionately opinionated. She was a hawk for linguistics and grammar; she'd be able to walk you through the logic behind any edit she made (and she'd probably give me a lesson about that semicolon). She loved German industrial metal band Rammstein and talked so dearly about her cats. I'm so grateful for the time I had with Linda. We lost a beautiful soul.

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Linda's passing. I always enjoyed talking with her, about work, cats, or life in general. Her sense of humor was such a treat. It was easy to tell that she was a very caring person, one that I feel blessed just to have known.

There are so many things I admired about Linda. Her love of language, her unwavering commitment to get things right, her constant interest in learning, her willingness to teach others (even though she told me on multiple occasions that she didn't believe she was a good teacher), her laughter and wit, her compassion for others and animals. She will be missed.

My deepest sympathy to Linda's family. Linda was a great person and was a pleasure to work with. Her little jokes before going to lunch everyday made me laugh. Stacey
