LINDA LANE GILBERT
September 21, 1944 October 11, 2018
On Thursday October 11, 2018, Linda Lane Gilbert went home to be with the Lord. Linda was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandma, great grandma, aunt and friend. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Lucien and Jane Lane, her youngest brother, Christopher Lane and her grandson, Dylan Cappiello. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Thomas Gilbert, her children: Thomas Gilbert, Heather Hanley (Tim), Sarah Cappiello (Michael), Jared Gilbert (Brittany); her siblings: Theodore Lane (Diane), Tony Lane (Barbara), and Jane Matthews; her grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Linda accomplished so much throughout her glorious life but her great joy was introducing others to her friend Jesus Christ. Linda loved the Lord. This love for Christ was evident in every facet of her life from leading prayer groups, organizing and writing bible studies and even writing and publishing two books about her journey to Christ.
Linda loved to cook, especially for her family. She cherished family time with her children and especially her grands/great grands. She loved adventures - whether escaping in a good book or traveling. Linda loved meeting new people, learning new things and discussing her love of Jesus Christ.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held privately in Lecanto Fl. Saturday October 27th.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be made to St. Judes.

In the beauty of the lilies Linda carries on. Her friends from O'Connell HS in Arlington, VA will always cherish her and her enthusiasm for life.She shared her calling with others, always with patience and compassion. We count ourselves lucky to have known her.

Linda is still the first to come to mind when I think of a mentor in the faith. She was a true instrument in the hand of God. She definitely changed my life. Praise be to God for this incredible gift!
