Linda Goon Obituary

Linda Lewis Goon, age 47, a resident of Pueblo West and formerly of Grand Junction and Colorado Springs passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at her home. She had worked for Goodwill Industries and had worked in housekeeping at various hotels. She was an avid Colorado sports fan, loved to play cards, and enjoyed crafts. Linda Marie Lewis was born on December 31, 1964 to Elden Ray and Lorlaine Elizabeth (McDonnell) Lewis. She was a 1982 graduate of Doherty High School. She married and was later divorced. She will be best remembered for her love of animals, her kind spirit and how she never left unnoticed a family birthday or celebration. She is survived by her mother: Lorlaine of Colorado Springs; her brothers: Jim (and Carol) Lewis of Broomfield; Dale Lewis; and George (and Joanie) Lewis; all of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by her sister: Betty (and Doug) Smith of Colorado Springs; six nieces and nephews; and five great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father: Elden in 2006. Private family services are planned. Entombment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Garden of Angels with her beloved grandmother: Ruth Hartshorn. Memorials in Linda's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the Juvenile Diabetes Association or to the Resource Exchange.
