Linda Scahill Obituary

Linda L. Scahill, 60, of Kansas City, MO, went to be with the lord on Thursday January 12, 2012. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Wed. January 18, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Olathe, KS. Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. Visitation will be 6-8PM Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe Chapel, where the Rosary will be said at 5:30. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. God our Father came to his daughter, Linda Scahill; He told her as he wrapped his loving arms around her that she had fought long and hard enough. He then calmed her fears and took her home with him. Linda fought leukemia for more than 6 long years. Along the way she touched many people. To a person she impressed them with her courage and determination. All of us who love her should feel honored to have had her in our lives. While we are all very sad, we can take solace in the fact that she lives in the kingdom of God and we all will see her again in our time. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Daniel Scahill of the home. Daughter, Lisa Moore of Olathe, KS; son, Kenny Moore of Lenexa, KS, and three granddaughters. She is also survived by her parents Earl and Shirley Jones of McPherson, KS and her mother Marva Lou Jones of Overland Park, KS , brother Chris Jones and sisters Patti Bagley and Tammi Cooley, as well as many nieces and nephews. To everyone who has added a posting about my mom, thank you! She was a wonderful person, woman, and mother. She was so full of love and was a very unselfish and caring person. I am honored to have had Linda Scahill as my mom, and I can't wait to get to Heaven to give her a big hug and kiss!
