Lisa Fortin Obituary

Lisa Fortin, age 29, a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on July 4, 2009 at the Pikes Peak Hospice Residence. She was employed by Goodwill Industries. Lisa was born on May 5, 1980 in the Philippines and was adopted at the age of seven by her parents: Lawrence V. and Mary E. (Griffin) Fortin of Williston, Vermont and formerly of Colorado Springs. Lisa loved the time she spent with her family at her group home, the outdoors of Colorado, watching movies and getting her nails done. She is survived by her parents; her brothers: Shane (wife, Jan) Fortin and Chad (wife, Angelica) Fortin, both of San Diego; her sister: Callie (husband, Dr. Daniel) Fortin- Lustgarten of Burlington, Vermont; and her nephews: Derek Bouchard and Bennett Lustgarten. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother: Arline Griffin of Bolton, Connecticut and her family at the group home. Private family services were held. Memorials may be made to the United Way, 518 N. Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903; the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, 1275 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30309-3506, or to Goodwill Industries, 2320 W. Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904.
