Lonnie Gordon Obituary

Devoted father and husband, Lonnie Alan Gordon, passed away on May 31, 2017due to complications ofacute myeloid leukemia. Lonnie was born on August 2, 1963 in Tampa, Florida to Darrell and Rebecca Ann Gordon. Lonnie has 3 surviving brothers, Darrell H. JR, Russell E Gordon, and Shane M Gordon. Lonnie has two uncles, Victor G Smith and Tach "Tosh" R Smith, along with five wonderful nieces and nephews.

Lonnie received an Associate of Arts degree in computer networking from Remington College, which led him to the Griffith Center where he found his passion working with young adolescents for over 8 years. Lonnie had a giving personality which shined through in his work every day.

Lonnie is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Ismelda, and his amazing 18-month-old son, Bryce. Lonnie took great pride in being a husband and a father which was expressed through the smile he always had on his face. His giving nature and loving heart will endlessly live on through his family and friends.

Ismelda wants to express her deepest gratitude to her and Lonnie's "Colorado Family" for all the love, prayers, and support they received during this emotional time.

We ask that everyone will come out to celebrate Lonnie's life at his memorial service which will be held at 4pm on June 14, 2017 at Alternative Cremation, 2377 North Academy Blvd. Colorado Springs, CO 80909.

Pastor John Pauls of ABC Church will be officiating the services lovingly arranged by Ismelda.
