Lori Ganoung Obituary

OLEAN - Lori Anne Ganoung, of 5799 Church St., Limestone, formerly of Allegany, passed away Friday (Nov. 21, 2014) at Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, following an illness.

Lori was born Dec. 30, 1957, in Memphis, Tenn., and was a daughter of Bruce and Mildred Ludwig Ganoung.

She was a homemaker, raising her six children. Lori enjoyed going to bingo and watching Pittsburgh Steelers football and NASCAR races. Most of all, she enjoyed taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She moved back from Virginia in May 2014.

Lori is survived by six children, Jeffery D. (Bonita) Ganoung of Limestone, Tre (Susan) Elkins of Harrisburg, Pa., Latahra C. Ganoung of Norfolk, Va., Jessica D. Ganoung of Norfolk, Heather D. Ganoung of Norfolk and Carrie J. Vaughn of Olean; 25 grandchildren, Jeffery, Mercedes, Logan, Sydnee, Aidan, Kasey, Dalton, Taylor, L.T., Tony, Breanna, Davonte, Jada, Jazmin. Ka-Terra, Amire, Jaaliyah, Khai, Kamrn, Jackson, Gianna, Christian, Alison, Damian and Rylan; two great-grandchildren; Noha and Iredessa; two siblings, Peggy (Cappy) Robin of Louisiana and Dan Ganoung of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 29, 2014) at the CUTCO Theater at the Olean campus of Jamestown Community College. The Rev. Vicky Hudland will officiate.
