Lorrayne Bergman Obituary

Lorrayne G. Bergman, age 93, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1954, passed away on July 29, 2006 in Colorado Springs. She was born on April 29, 1913 in Randolph, KS., a daughter of the late August R. and Ivah A. Singer Peterson. Lorrayne married Carl J. Bergman on February 14, 1943, he preceded her in death on December 2, 2001. Lorrayne had worked as a school teacher in rural Kansas prior to moving to Colorado. Lorrayne along with her husband, owned and operator Canon Cottages and Skelley Service Station in Manitou Springs, she was also one of the founders and owners of Peterson's Party Land. Lorrayne was very active in the senior community in Colorado Springs, she was also a volunteer for Silver Key. Lorrayne is survived by a sister, LaVonne Weik of Colorado Springs and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2006 at Evergreen Cemetery 1001 S. Hancock, Colorado Springs. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Pikes Peak Hospice 825 E. Pikes Peak Ave. Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.

While I didn't know your Aunt Lorrayne Ty, she must have been an inspiration and a remarkable woman. Learning from those who are more wise than us help us focus on what is important. She had a positive impact on your life which will carry on her legacy for years to come - in your children and your childrens' children. Your Aunt Lorrayne is your "angel" and will always be watching over you, as you watched over her. Keep your memories close and they will comfort you during this time.
