Louis's given birth name was Alaysius Benny Borowicz. He was born July 12, 1914, in Pullman, Ill., a son of Joseph and Catherine (Waszak) Borowicz. He was united in marriage to Pauline Veronica Gajieski on May 6, 1941. She preceded him in death on June 13, 2003. He retired from the former International Harvester Farmall Works. Louis was very dedicated to his family and was a hard worker. He also had a great sense of humor and had a quick wit. He was always the first to volunteer to help when a friend or family member was in need of assistance. He was especially proud of his family and cherished being a grandpa; he loved the time spent with his grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Dusenberry, Davenport; sons and a daughter-in-law, Ron and Elizabeth Borowicz, Glenbeulah, Wis., and Don Borowicz, Davenport; grandchildren, Don Dusenberry, Jeff Dusenberry, Bob Dusenberry, Michelle (Sam) Shupe, Kim (Chris) Riley, Eric (Shelly) Yakley, and Brandon, Brett and Jamie Jovanovich; great-grandchildren, Emma, Sydney and Jake; sisters, Lorraine (Floyd) Olson, Downers Grove, Ill., and Clara Blazeski, Argyle, Minn.; as well as a son-in-law, Bill Yakley and a special friend of the family, John Yoke.
In addition to his parents and wife, a daughter, Lois Yakley in 1986, and sisters, Eleanor and Genevieve, and brothers, August and Harry, also preceded him in death.

Ron,

Sorry, I missed your dad's wake. Nan and I pass along our condolences to you, your sister and Donny. Was out of town doing daughter's income taxes. I remember your dad use to clean a travern downtown across from old bus station on Sunday for extra money and a free beer or two. I do not remember if you help him or not?
