Louis Dale Henderson (1946-2023)

Louis Dale Henderson, 77, of Hot Springs, SD died October 1, 2023 in Rapid City, SD.

He was born on August 16, 1946 in Colorado Springs, CO to Elvin and Elsie Henderson. Louis was a Dairyman in Ellicott, CO for over 30 years. He was well known for his ability to select quality cattle. He won many awards for 'top producing herd" and 'top butter fat' of Colorado . After retiring from the dairy business, Louis found himself in South Dakota where he lived the remaining years of his life. Louis had a larger than life personality; he never met a stranger that didn't become a friend. Louis enjoyed garage sells, bowling, and dancing. He also enjoyed sports and never missed his kid's sporting events.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents Elvin and Elsie Henderson, his sister Donna Lou, his brother-in-law John Wands and Orbin (Junior) Hall. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Henderson, his sisters Virgina Wands, Elvis Grau (Spouse Dale Grau), and Carolyn Hall. His children David Henderson (Spouse Laura Henderson), Louis Henderson, Albert Henderson, Robin Crippen (Spouse Troy Crippen), Elvin Henderson, and Zion Henderson. Bonnie's children are Anya Hartpence (spouse Juan Harrington), Kendra Spear, Jesse Roltgen, Samuel Hartpence (spouse Tiffany Hartpence) and Charlie Ann Hartpence. Louis and Bonnie have 20 grandchildren.
