Louis Tramaloni Obituary

April 26, 1913 - October 30, 2007. Louis Tramaloni, 94, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2007 in Colorado Springs where he had been a resident since 1999. Louis was born in Italy on April 26, 1913 and immigrated to America following his father, in 1928. As a child he grew up on a farm in a hamlet in the area of Parma, Italy. After coming to America, he became a carpenter and cabinet maker, which remained his trade for 50 years. He served with the US Army during WWII in the 3rd Army, seeing combat in the European Theater. On October 5, 1941 Louis married Rose Toschi in New York City and together they had two sons. He had a fond affinity for Colorado's wilderness and natural beauty and loved taking drives through the Rocky Mountains. Louis is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Rose; two sons: Col. Dr. Robert L. (wife Mikki) Tramaloni, USAF (Ret.) and Dennis (wife Patricia) Tramaloni, Esq.; nephews: Anthony, Paul (wife Jeanne), Robert and Joseph (wife Laurie) Quintavalla; and niece and nephew Susan and James Toschi, in addition to several extended family members and friends. Louis, or Gigi as he was known to family and friends, was held in special affection by all who knew him for his gentle nature. A smile was never far from his lips and giving of his time and talent was his true pastime. A Memorial Service will take place at Saint Raymond's Old Cemetery in Bronx, New York at a later date.
