Edith Novak Obituary

NOVAK – Edith (Corti), Nanty Glo, died July 5, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Jenny Corti. Preceded in death by brothers, Vallie, Joseph and John, and sister, Clara Morgan. Survived by husband, John Novak, Nanty Glo; daughter, Jo Ann (Vic) Lescznske; and grandson, Christian Lescznske, Washington, Pa. Sister of Sylvia Brown, Nanty Glo, and Mario Corti, California. Edith enjoyed cooking, baking and bingo. Member of St. Mary's Church, Nanty Glo, Women's Democratic Club and Altar and Rosary Society. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Boswer-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where wake service will be held Monday. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Church. Committal, St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Church.
