Lucille Wallace Obituary
Lucille M. Wallace, 80, of Colorado Springs passed away on Thursday, December 18 at her home. Lucille was born on October 13, 1928 to George and Laura (Helling) Wertz in Billings, Montana. Upon graduating nursing school, Lucy worked as a registered nurse for the Colorado Springs Medical Center for thirty-nine years. In September of 1950, she married Finlay Blair Wallace and together had two children. In her spare time, Lucy enjoyed bowling, gardening and cross stitching. Lucille is survived by her two children, Finlay Wallace Jr. and Charlene (Greg) Aven; four sisters, Thelma Childers, Patricia Duran, Bernice Stamper, and Doris Gregerson; as well as two brothers, Les and Robert Wertz. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Bonnie Hein; one brother, Henry Wertz and her loving husband, Finlay. Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 22 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs with Services to follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society.

:) I'm sure Lucy's up in heaven causing mischief, and getting away with it like she did here with Gramma!!! Stealing salt & pepper shakers, and like Aub said jumping into bed with Grampa!! Love you Lucy! Miss you! I'm sure you're going to keep Grampa on his toes up there!!

Lucy was an angel on earth and we know heaven is a better place with her there. We will miss our very "best" friend. We will never forget her. With all our love the Holcomb family.
