Madelyn Zeine Obituary

Our beloved Madelyn May Follet Zeine went home to be with the Lord May 27, 2011 ending her long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Lt. Col. (Ret.) US Air Force Donald A. Zeine She is survived by her children, Diedra (Dale) Zeine Daughterty and Satin (David) Zeine-Johnson; grandchildren, Benjamin Dale, Sarah (Mike) Coghlan, Jennider Dale, Philip (Kim) Daugherty, Magan Daugherty; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Sean Bryant, Mikaela Daugherty, Cora Coghlan and Gabriel Daugherty. Madelyn was raised in Jacksonville, Florida and was a true Southern Belle. She was an accomplished singer and dancer. She married her dashing fighter pilot while still a student at Florida State University. They spent the next 35 years moving from base to base and raising their daughters. They retired to Crestone, Colorado and enjoyed their life in the gorgeous Sangre de Christo Mountains. We will miss her sparkling, kind, funny, caring, wonderful presence. She was the original "Steel Magnolia". In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Swan-Law Cascade Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
