It is with a sad heart that I send this message to the friends and family of Marc Henning. My son graduated from the Academy so I feel we are all family. I take strength and comfort in knowing that when Marc's eye closed here on earth they opened to the glory of our God the father who is in heaven. God bless Marc's memory and may he live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A relative sent me an old, oft folded piece of paper when my mother unexpectedly died. Written on the paper was something this relative had kept in her wallet and referred to many times in her long life. I now carry this tattered piece of paper in my wallet, and hope the words bring you the same solace they do me;

"And life is eternal, and love is immortal, and death is only a horizon, and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight."

My heart aches for your whole family. Know that the entire Air Force community joins you in your sorrow.

I wish Heaven had a phone so they could hear your voice again... they thought of you today, but that is nothing new. They thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. They think of you in silence and often speak your name. All they have are memories and a picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake, from which they will never part. God has you in his arms, They have you in their hearts.

There are no words to express the sadness at the news of your loss!

May the Lord grant you comfort and strength during this difficult time.

May time provide you healing as you recall your treasured memories with love & fondness, and some day... a smile will come and overshadow the pain.
