Marcella (Mickey) Yuska, 97, was born in Tulsa, OK, and grew up in Washington, IA. A long-time resident of Kansas City, she moved to Colorado Springs in 2005. Mickey had a vibrant personality and was loved by many. She was outspoken, competitive and an avid Rockies fan. Her husband of 30 years, Victor A. Yuska, passed away in 1978. She is survived by her two children, Susan Yuska Richards of Colorado Springs, and Doug Yuska of Truckee, CA; her son-in-law James Richards of Colorado Springs; and her step brother, Carl Hays of Burlington, IA. She is also survived by her two grand-daughters, Whitney Richards of Austin, TX and Erin Richards of Austin, TX. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and friends. Contributions in her name can be made to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.

I recently came across an old Christmas card from Mickey. I'm sorry I didn't write her a few months ago. She was really neat. How lucky you are to have had her this long. Hope all is well with you, Doug. I'm living south of Austin now.
