Marcia Bryan Brazil age 95, resident of Colorado Springs, CO for 53 years. She was born 12-8-22 in Dunsmuir, CA to Clinton Bryan and Ruth Berry Bryan.
Marcia earned a B.A. at the University of CA, Berkeley, and MSW at Denver University (Master Social Work).
Marcia graduated from Yreka High School and met the love of her life Raymond Ralph Brazil. They were married in San Francisco, CA.
Marcia had a career dedicated to helping others. Longtime employee at the Pikes Peak Mental Health Center and then a school social worker at District 8 for 10 years. She was a member of NASW (National Assoc of Social Workers). She was a docent at the CO Springs Fine Arts Center and had a deep appreciation of the arts.
She attended St. Paul Catholic Church. Marcia skied and played tennis into her 80's. She also played bridge and swam into her 90's. Her fondest memories were swimming in the fjords of Norway with her friend Irma and sister Maggy. She also enjoyed traveling and going on nature walks.
Marcia is survived by children: Leslie Farkas (Howard), Ross Brazil, Jon Brazil, Lindsay Brazil, Melanie Brazil Aksland (David). Grandchildren: Anna Raynor, Michael McClendon, Grant Farkas, Hayley Brazil, Evan Brazil (Shauna), Ian Aksland and Thea Aksland. Great-Grandchildren: Alexandra Raynor and Desi Brazil (Jessica) and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Also by sister Lyn Levin.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Ralph Brazil; Siblings: Beatrice Walker, John Bryan, Margaret Bryan and Wilma Murray.
Marcia had a strong devotion to family and tradition. She was a progressive thinker and enjoyed a good laugh. The sterling silver was used daily at Marcia's house. She viewed every day as a special occasion.
Mother will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Marcia's life for friends and family will be at Pauline Chapel in the Broadmoor, April 28th at 11am.
Memorial donations can be made to Pikes Peak Hospice in her name.

Marcia and I worked together with the docent archive material at the Fine Arts Center for many years. She was ways cheerful, fun and had a great smile. She will be missed.
