MARGARET "PEGGY" FERN (FULLER) BARTLEY

Margaret Fern (Peggy) Bartley was born in Cowles, NE, and grew up in Red Cloud, NE. She married Gene Bartley in 1947, later divorcing. Their family of 6 children moved to Colorado Springs in 1961 although Nebraska stayed very dear to her.
She worked at Ampex for over 25 years. In the 1960's she enjoyed serving banquets part-time at the Broadmoor Resort for the many celebrities that came there. Liberace was her favorite.
Spending time with her grand and great grandkids was her special joy. They loved feeding the ducks at Prospect and Broadmoor Lakes.
A founding member of The Pikes Peak Jazz and Swing Society (founded 1985), she served 28 years on the board. She took many trips thru Ports of Call, loved the mountains and Cripple Creek.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Violet and Guy Fuller, ten siblings, and daughter Jackie.
Peggy is survived by five children: Larry (Jacki), Danny (Ginger) of Colo. Springs; Diana Bienkowski (Butch), Hastings, NE; Barbara Dodge, Lincoln, NE; and Kathleen, Phoenix, AZ; 15 grandkids, 9 great grandkids.
