Margaret Bruce Obituary

Margaret D. Bruce died on March 12, 2014 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Margaret was born in Colorado Springs on June 24, 1920, the only child of Jacob and Lela Landis. Margaret graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1938. Margaret lived in Cheyenne since 1982 and was a member of The First Baptist Church. Margaret was a housewife. She loved to read, knit, sew and do crafts of all kinds. Margaret enjoyed classical, pop and country music. Margaret loved to travel and take tours of Europe, New England, Canada, Alaska and the North West. Margaret was a Sunday school teacher, secretary, grandmother and great grandmother.

Margaret outlived three husbands. She was married to William McCann of McCann Brothers' Transfer Company. She then married Wilmer Walker of Nunn, Colorado. Her third husband was James Bruce of Story, Wyoming.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and step-daughter, Judy Walker.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Karen (Tommy) Wagoner; son, James (Sharon) McCann; granddaughter, Debbie White; grandson, Bill (Stephanie) Wagoner; great granddaughters, Elizabeth Wagoner and Denisha White; great grandsons, Vincent Wagoner and Cordell White and step-son David Walker.

The Visitation will be held Monday, March 17, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday March 18, 2014 at 11:00am. All will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Home.
