Margaret Dyer-Weissman, affectionately known as Peggy, 78, died peacefully on September 12, 2021. She is survived by Melvyn, her sweetheart and beloved husband of 32 years. Peggy raised three children: Matthew, Jennifer, and David. She enjoyed spending time with their spouses and was the proud grandmother of Karen, Cash, Sophia, Brooks, and Judy, all of whom she showered with love. A Jersey girl at heart from Hackettstown and Sparta, she spent her later years in Colorado Springs.

A Navy Nurse serving from 1964 to 1967 and alumni of UVA (BA of Science in Nursing), Peggy earned a Master's at Seton Hall and worked as a pediatric nurse (RN), nurse practitioner (PNP), and nursing director for Sussex County Health. In 1997, she was recognized with the Distinguished Service Award, never losing her passion for the care of little ones.

Peggy was an avid skier well into her seventies, carving turns on Black Diamond trails from Vermont to Colorado. Grandma Peggy enjoyed hiking and chasing her many grandchildren around the Garden of the Gods.

When not working, she traveled the world extensively, from the wilds of the Russian interior to the rolling hills of England where she was welcomed as an honorary member of St. Margaret's Chapel, Edinburgh Castle.

Peggy remained an active church member all her life, supporting several charities including St. Jude's Children Hospital, Southwest Reservation Aid, and Alzheimer's Disease Research. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her name.

A Memorial Service to be held at the First Congregational Church in Colorado Springs followed by Military Honors at the Pikes Peak National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
