Margaret Sanchez Obituary

Sanchez
Margaret Sanchez
July 11, 1937
January 5, 2024

Vibrant, classy, smart and resilient, Marge Sanchez was a great force to be reckoned with. For nearly 87 years, she lived with gusto, loved hard and laughed often.
Born to Francisco and Sixta Luna in 1937, she was the fifth of six children. As a young woman, she attended Central High School and Pueblo Community College - where she met her future husband, Joseph H. Sanchez. She and "Pepe" were married in 1959 and raised four kids together - William, Michael, Dianne and David. As she raised her family, she also worked for the El Paso County Health Department for almost 20 years.
As her family, we are so fortunate that she lived a long and healthy life. Her legacy continues on through her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and the countless family and friends that she loved so dearly.
Services will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 2715 E. Pikes Peak Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80909. The Catholic Mass will be followed by a reception at Patty Jewett Golf Course located at 900 East Espanola Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80907.
Before her passing, Marge personally requested attendees of her services please wear color instead of the traditional black. The family appreciatively welcomes flowers be sent directly to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
