Margaret Warner Obituary

She passed peacefully from this world to her Heavenly home on April 4, 2017 to be with her Lord and Savior.

Margaret was born to William and Blanche (Wells) Riggs in Springfield, Colorado. Her family moved to Canon City, Colorado where she graduated from high school and met her future husband Merlin (Jack) Warner. Margaret and Jack were married June 7, 1941. After living in Washington State for a short time, they settled in Colorado Springs in 1945 where they raised their three children, Deanna (Johnson), Jane (Johnston) and their son Rick. They were married 67 years when Jack passed away in 2008. They had 13 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.

Margaret accepted Christ into her life in 1967 and as a result many of her family members followed.

Margaret was active in the Colorado Springs community serving as President of the P.T.A. and an active member of the Eagles Lodge and Eagle 8's square dancing club. She was a member of Prairie Road Baptist Church and Galley Road Baptist Temple where she was active in Awana's and Women's Ministries

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, her daughter Deanna Johnson and 10 siblings.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Funeral will be Monday April 10, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 4280 Hopeful Dr. Colorado Springs, Co.

Light reception following service at Lighthouse Baptist Church will follow at the 2:30 p.m. internment at Memorial Gardens, 3825 Airport RD. Colorado Springs Colorado 80910
