Marian Isabel (Duran) Martinez passed peacefully on September 6, 2023. She was born on March 30th 1929 in Aguilar, Colorado. She was the daughter of Eugene Duran and Josephine Lucero.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew, and their daughters Bernadine and Roberta. Marian is survived by her sisters Erma Bartley and Flora Alvarado, and daughters Kathy, Beverly, and Marianne (John), as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Marian lived in San Diego for many years before moving back to Colorado Springs. She taught English as a Second Language there before she retired.
Being near the ocean brought Marian great joy. She also loved spending time in her garden and being surrounded by family.
The funeral service and visitation will be held at Springs Funeral Services located at 3115 E Platte Avenue Chapel of Memories on Sept. 15, 2023 at 3 p.m.

First of all condolences to your family for your mother, grandmother, sister´s loss.
My paternal grandmother was born in Aguilar. Her name was Carmela (Carmelita) Sierra. She married a Pedro Martinez in Walsenburg, Colorado. Would they have been related through marriage.
