Marie Bishop Obituary
Marie was born to Simon and Maude Lamar on December 24th, 1916 in Wallace, MO. She was the oldest of four siblings. She married Vincent L. Bishop on March 13th, 1939 in Atchison, Kansas. They retuned to Vincent's home in the Calhan area and resided in the Colorado Springs area until Vincent's death in January of 2000. She then moved to Wicks, Arkansas to reside near her daughter
They were long time members of the Foursquare Church. Marie worked in the nursery for many years.
Marie and Vincent were the proud parents of eight children. One of Marie's biggest joys in life were children; not just her own, but all children.
Marie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother
She is survived by sons Billy (Sheila) Colorado Springs; Shelby (Jean) Rocky Hill, CT; Vincent (Wanda) Tariffville, CT; Norrell (Belinda) Belen, NM; daughters Marilyn (Roy) Lister Wicks, Ark, Janice (Rick) Saxe Albuquerque, NM;16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren; and sister Valjean Paige Dearborn, MO.
She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Nancy Wendt, son Edward, brother Glen Lamar and sister Fern Fotie.
Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 11, at Evergreen Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Ronald McDonald House of Colorado Springs in her name.

This is Jeanie Solberg Lee.. I remember very clearly all of us living in Falcon. The Bishop family, Vincent & Billy driving the school bus. Vincent being the janitor.
