Marie Julius Obituary

Marie A. Julius, age 89, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1983, and formerly of Midlothian, Illinois passed away on December 15, 2007 at her home. She was a homemaker. Marie was born on July 27, 1918 in Aurora, Illinois to the late Nicholas and Anna (Steil) Reichling. She married William H. Julius on January 8, 1938. Mrs. Julius enjoyed bowling, playing cards and Yahtzee. She loved her church and her trips to Cripple Creek. She is survived by her daughters: Barbara Hofkamp of Alabama; Mary E. (husband, Wayne) Smith of Colorado Springs; Karen (husband, Rory) Banovich of Missouri; her son: William H. Julius, Jr. of Florida; and her sister: Betty Ostrow of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Julie Brown-Olson, Kathleen Lopez, Beth Cotter, Stephanie Julius, Brent Banovich, Christi Julius and Clarice Banovich. She has five great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and her daughter: Claire Anne. Memorial Services will be announced at a future date. Entombment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 1520 E.
