Marie Miller Obituary

MILLER, MARIE E., 70, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Louisville, passed away February 10, 2009. She was the former Marie E. Mahoney. Marie, enjoyed her career at Indiana University from 1979 to 1994 and retired from there as the director of the Undergraduate Program for the School of Business. Marie was on the board of directors for both the Children's Bureau of Indianapolis and Child Advocates of Indianapolis. She was a member of the Indiana University and Memphis State University Alumni associations. Marie attended Zionsville Fellowship Church in Zionsville, IN. Marie was the beloved wife of Don L. Miller, for 50 years whom she met at Bellarmine College. She was the devoted mother of four children, David R. Miller, Dianne T. McSweeney, Julie G. Corcoran, Janet M. Hogan. She was the loving Nanny of 11 grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Bill Mahoney Jr; and a sister, Kathleen M. Gashun, Arty Fischer, of Louisville. is an adopted son who provided two more grandchildren, making 13. Visitation will be at the Flanner Buchanan Funeral Center, 105 W. Pine St., Zionsville, IN., 46077 on Thursday, February 12, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Zionsville Fellowship Church, 9090 E. State Road 334 in Zionsville, IN starting at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2009. A graveside burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Louisville at 2:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Bureau of Indianapolis, 615 N.
